Terms and Conditions

When booking one of our homes, the guest agrees and accepts our terms and conditions. Please read carefully, check for updates to your reservation and if in doubt, do not hesitate to contact us:

  • Minimum age to book, 18 years old;
  • After the reservations confirmed, an email will be sent with detailed information about the procedures to follow and some questions will be asked to help us better prepare the arrival of our guests;
  • Any changes that the guest intends to make, must communicate in advance  in order to avoid misunderstandings and guest must wait for confirmation from HomeConnect;
  • Before check-in, 2/3 days, a WhatsApp group will be created and the estimated time of arrival (ETA) will have to be sent. On the check-in day, a message 45 minutes before arrival, should be sent in order to confirm the previously ETA and if there is any change, it should be communicated as soon as possible to ensure that the person responsible for check-in, will be at the house to receive the guest. The lack of this information is the responsibility of the guest and implies that no one will be present on arrival. Any delay in the time previously agreed and if that is more than 15 minutes, has an extra cost that must be paid at the time of check-in in cash. At the end of 30 minutes, if there is no information, the person responsible for the check-in will no longer be at the house, and the guest should, when in contact, wait for our availability, which may have an extra cost above 50€, depending on the new schedule established by HomeConnect. If the guest arrives before the estimated time of arrival, he must inform in advance so that we can try to change our schedule or guest must wait until we can reach the house;
  • The check-in time is indicated in the description of each house, being possible, according to the availability of HomeConnect, to schedule an early check-in or late check-in, subject to an extra cost and confirmation;
  • The check-out time is indicated in the description of each house, but the exact time must be communicated the day before, in order for HomeConnect to be present. Any delay at the time of check-out, without the authorization from HomeConnect, has an extra cost and the amount will be taken from the security deposit. Depending on the availability of the house, it may be possible to schedule a late check-out;
  • According to the Portuguese law, no noise is allowed between 10 pm and 8 am and the emission of noise, as long as disturbing, uncomfortable and causing poor quality of life, should also be avoided in the remaining hours of the day;
  • Parties or Events are prohibited;
  • Smoking inside houses is prohibited;
  • Pets are not allowed;
  • We ask that you respect the basic rules of hygiene, for instance do not leave dirty dishes to wash or tidy up;
  • The guest cannot change or remove the furniture or any decorative element;
  • The maximum capacity of guests indicated in each home, cannot be exceeded;
  • The guest is not authorized to sub-rent the house in any way;
  • The guest whose name appears on the reservation confirmation email will be responsible for the behavior of the entire group and agree not to use any illegal activity during their stay;
  • If the guest detects an anomaly, he must report it to the property manager immediately. The guest will be informed about the time of entry into the holiday home, whenever possible, at a time that is mutually possible. However, if a mutual schedule is not possible, HomeConnect reserves the right to enter, even when the guest cannot be present, but always respecting their privacy. Depending on the problem, the resolution can take up to 72 hours or more if depending on third party services. HomeConnect is not responsible for potential delays or fees that are related to the services of our partners;
  • The photos and descriptions of the houses are produced by HomeConnect. Changes can occur in comparison with them, without compromising the general condition and amenities;
  • We do not refund guests, based on the taste or likeness of the house;
  • It is the guest’s responsibility to confirm, before reserve, the location of the holiday home;
  • HomeConnect will not be responsible for any deficiencies in the supply of gas, electricity, water or the internet;
  • In the event that guests do not comply with the terms and conditions, or in case of bad behavior on the part of the guests, HomeConnect reserves the right to require guests to leave the holiday home, without any refund, and may if necessary call to the police and any additional costs will be of the responsibility of the guest.
